On to the Large Commission

After getting approval of the 2 smaller versions, I started on the large commissions. Interesting that going from 12x24 up to 15x30 meant some adjustments had to be made.   Here is the completed small version that I might alter a little now that I did the big one.

Marsh Sunset, 12x24

Beginning the larger version, I once again did the background washes first, then added the tree and the water

Added the leaves on the tree and the moss, then the marsh. To add some interest and texture, I made it low tide which made a more interesting edge on the large body of water and allowed the addition of some greens in the palette and grasses

Here is the finished piece, 15x30"
