Continuing The Village Painting

Now I was ready to add the foliage and some shadows indicating that there were more buildings and trees across the street.

Realizing with some observations from my friend and mentor, Linda, that the trees in front had to be in front of the buildings and the center back one behind the buildings, I made the adjustment and then painted the sky wet on wet.

Now I was ready to remove the masking fluid and paint the people and bicycles with watercolor pencils and paint pens. I also added the details to the windows and doors.

To get a better look at colors and composition, I took the painting outside and photographed it in natural light. Then I put it on an easel and will walk by it for a few days to see what details to add.
